Post-id works because it's numeric (like a date, but unlike an author or category name)
Valeu xará.
I have noticed when i use subcategories (child categories) they are also top level. Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks
(btw, I'm assuming that the behavior you're seeing is a url like: '/parent-category/sub-category/' for the link, correct?)
Thanks in advance
I noticed in your blog the permlinks are also formatted with the category-name/post-name ...are you using the plugin there as well? Curious...
/%category%/%postname%/
Thanks
I found on previous version comments the solution : "change the category base to be: /category" (previously I had my personnal category name).
Thus, I recommend you to add this comment to your readme file, I'm sure I'm not the first guy to meet this trouble ;)
I'm using WP 2.6.5 with the /%category%/%postname%/ structure and I'm having the same trouble as Leo. I tried changing the base category as Leo suggested but it still produces a 404 (ie /news/page/2/). Any hints? Great plug-in otherwise!
Peter
I have the same problem as Peter. I'm using WP 2.7. Doesn't work starting from page 2. It seems that whenever I try to use /category as the category base, WP removes the slash. Any idea?
Obrigado!!
Firstly... Very nice plugin... but some how its not working out for my...
I am using the Latest release of WP; WP 2.7.1
My Catgory Base is "category" itself... My Permalink Structure is /%postname%/
I activated the plugin; Everything seems to be working fine except that the Categories are giving 404 error... Suppose I have a category "technology" than url "mydomain.com/technology" gives Wordpress Custom 404 error page... whereas entering the url "mydomain.comcategory/technology/" still shows all the posts even after the plugin is activated....
The only changes the plugin has made is that it had changed the anchor links of all category links to the one without category which gives 404 as mentioned above...
Please tell me what the problem may be.... Also if there is no workaround for this... Lemme know how can I create one category with no category base... I just need one such... I am fine if all other stays the way they are....
Do lemme know...
Regards;
Sjy
I had the same problem like Leo and many others. Just use /%category%/%page%/%postname%/
Firstly, thanks for the plugin. It (generally) works fine. Just a small issue that I have found. I run this plugin, as well as the flickr plugin (http://tantannoodles.com/toolkit/photo-album/), and version 1.0.1 of your plugin stops the other from working.
Version 1.0 is fine
I would like to know if you have a solution to remove also "tag/" and "page/" from permalinks.
Merci !
Thanks
