Are the jaged lines of the textbox in the rotated image an artefact of the rotation?

What about the visual style of the combo box? Come to think of it, are avalon controls going to be themed differently than Windows Forms ones? I suppose Longhorn will introduce more themes as well...

Senkwe: The jagged lines on the rotated ComboBox is a known issue that should be fixed in later builds.

Martin: I don't know the answer to your questions, I've emailed a team member to find out.

Gripes: 1. The dropdown part of the combo box doesn’t rotate. 2. The combo box resizes as the selection changes, which is different than every other combo box known to man. 3. Replies not smarmy enough.

Is the combobox still a heavily subclassed version of the system window class "combobox" or has "the team" FINNALY (after more than a decade) trashed the original and built from scratch? I sure hope you say yes.

Not to be mean, I just got extreamly high expectations for Avalon (and WGF in general) and a no answer reveals an awefull lot of how the finnal image is composed, why the combo's got the jaggies, and hint at the further hacks that would be needed to scale/transform/rotate the droplist too.

ComboBox was built from scratch, however it does use an HWND for the pop-up.

Regarding the jaggies, they should be fixed in later releases, as I mentioned before.
